My Take on Climate Change
I do believe that climate change not only exists, but also the fact that it is still happening, and the recent blizzard is also a byproduct of this climate change. With the increase in temperature in the atmosphere, more moisture can be held which could lead to an increase in precipitation due to that extra moisture. It is also a fact that the ice caps are melting at an accelerated rate due to global warming, which is also raising sea levels, posing a threat to areas near oceans and close to sea level. While I do think that combatting climate change with things like renewable energy sources being more commercialized could work, solar power plants can take up a lot of space. Along with that, what to do and how to properly get rid of waste from nuclear power plants is something that must also be taken into consideration. With changes that the current governmental administration seems to want to put in place, such as the removal of the EPA’s 2009 regulation of greenhouse gases under the Clean Air Act , things for the world and climate change could go in a bad direction, which could affect the nation heavily.
Questions:
1. What are some of the biggest factors for climate change?
2. What are some past ways people have fought against climate change?
3. Is there a way to predict how climate change will affect the world?
