My Take On Climate Change

Rising water levels, extreme weather, and melting ice caps are changing our lands and oceans for the worse. For me personally, rising water levels may result in my home and place of learning uninhabitable in the near future. However, for as bleak as it is looking, there are ways to slow down what’s been started.

One possible solution is encouraging and existing within a sustainability-focused community. It is a worthwhile endeavor that can improve the looks of the data. Even when corporations are largely the ones engaging in the most destructive behaviors, shifting our values can lead to alternative options appearing and boycotting. Being within a sustainability-focused community can lead to trials and errors where different practices may be ruled out to determine their effectiveness  . For example, some individuals can’t afford to be completely engaged in climate focused consumerism. A community can potentially bring focus to these issues and rectify them. This is however, just a single solution in the vast array of options, and it is important that we take the time and effort to explore the most effective ways to preserve our earth.
