While we all agree that global warming is indeed an issue that should be addressed to its full extent we can’t fail to address the debatable positive new trade routes and access to more natural resources that the melting of ice in the poles provided with. Although this is fact could benefit us, it will only be to an extent because once the resources are again depleted we will once again be in the same ditch if not a bigger one. The trade route through the arctic to access the Atlantic from the pacific or vice versa has always been a dream blocked by ice. However because of the melting of the ice due to global warming now we are seeing boats sailing without the need of an icebreaker which is positive because it will create a new trade route and it already has created such routes. However we arise with issues of more natural resources being pumped out to be utilized and as we all know the increase in the use of petroleum will only increase the production in CO2 which once again will further and even accelerate the increase in global temperature causing the melting of the ice to increase exponentially, this is just becoming a cycle and if we continue falling into this cycle we will only cause more harm by ironically melting what we have been trying to keep from melting.
