Wildfires in the American West

Forest fires in the American West this year have broken records for numbers and extent.  Many factors have contributed, from past forest and fire management practices, to widespread drought, high temperatures, and, possibly, a changing climate. GR

The huge wildfire in Arizona burned more than 300,000 acres.  It may be a sign of things to come.  Even if La Nina was a factor, climate change brings early springs, higher temperatures  and longer dry spells. which lead to more and bigger wildfires.  GR
