Record highs broken in slew of cities

Most locations across the central and eastern United States have experienced a significant heat wave over the past several ways.  Temperature records have been broken in many cities and the heat has been responsible for several deaths.  While the heat has cooled down from the warmth of this past weekend, forecasts show that it may be back again soon.
