Flooding around the world

In addition to the floods in Australia, other parts of the global are experiencing heavy rainfall and flooding. Here is an article summarizing them all, with additional links below. DB and GR

In Brazil, cities near Rio de Janeiro have received heavy rainfall.  Multiple landslides have been reported. The death toll as of January 14 is approximately 400.

In Sri Lanka, flooding from the heaviest rainfall in 30 years has impacted approximately 1 million people. Agricultural areas where rice is grown have been hit the hardest.  

In the Philippines, flooding has killed at least 42 people and has left over 400,000 homeless.
