The annual Arctic Report Card is out, and the grades aren’t good. According to the report, Arctic temperatures are rising again after a year of relatively slow warming in 2009. This increase in temperature is a great cause for concern as atmospheric scientists attribute the melting of Arctic ice caps and glaciers as a cause of the severe storms that hit the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic United States earlier this year.
